The SabIT™ combines the latest chip technology for WiFi, BLE, Sigfox Network, with location service via GPS, GLNASS,and  WiFI. It includes multiple sensors accelerometer, pedometer, heat, humidity, light, and pressure. The device leverages powerful firmware and application layer programing to communicate with the cloud, then display the dog monitor information on an Apple iOS or Andriod mobile application. The device firmware is managed with over the air updates via WiFi.

Unique algorithms are designed to save power with electronic fences, wifi, gps, glnass and BLE location services. The Dog tracer leverages local available resources when the dog is at home, at the dog park with the owner or cargiver or the dog is lost. 

The waterproof device is provisioned during set up with blue tooth technology while the mobile application scans the dog for any available WiFi information added to the user account at setup. The device uses three modes to communicate with the internet, WiFi at home, BLE when with the owner or caregiver, and SigFox radio frequency when the dog is lost. The different modes leverage the resources at each stage to save battery and resources when needed. The SabIT has a battery life of over one month in full power lost dog mode. The battery is rechargeable via a waterproof mini-USB connector. The device is packaged with a standard size large bone dog ID tag which is displayed on the top of the device. The SabIT fits any dog collar securely holding the device during rough and large dog play.

The SabIT sensor data is designed to determine the state and location of the pet, a 6 axis accelerometer helps determine the dog’s position, velocity and stress level. We can determine the dog’s environment with light, humidity, temperature and weather environment.

Roadmap information

SabIT product functional and design change plans include enhanced software operation via existing hardware capabilities. The primary areas of firmware and mobile application additions are: the addition of activity based monitoring with animal pedometer data, enhanced movement logging in safe mode locations, enhanced presentation of BLE location data, animal data activity comparison to other animals of the same breed. Addition of some medical record access, government license data storage and marketplace cost saving benefits for subscription members.

SabIT hardware design improvements include a release of our Sigfox RC1 version in 2nd quarter 2020.  Mechanical and electrical design of a new PCB to support global network communication support based on monarch technology is in the design feasibility stage.

Each Last Mile SabIT Device comes with Basic SigFox Annual Subscription. Last Mile Cloud Platform annual monitoring subsciptions provide for user account administration, data collection, data base parsing, business logic, geo location services and decision alert data presentation via web a browser, Andriod and iOS mobile applications, or API for business information integration. The platform allows control of sensor settings to customize event notification, set geofences and report location. The device firmware life cycle is managed from this platform utilizing over the air (OTA) update and custom control via WiFi.
