SimplePack 4.0 Plus PoC RC3

SimplePack 3.0 Plus Full RC1 is a universal device for integrators. Compared to the smaller SimplePack 2.0, the Plus version has a myriad of additional functions that allow much more solutions to be implemented. Inside, you can find:  

• Accelerometer
• LED diode
• Clicking button with haptic feedback
• Light sensor
• Buzzer
• WiFi
• Reed switch
• Temperature sensor
• Sigfox modem
• Antenna
• Non-replaceable, non-rechargeable, long-lasting battery (1500 mAh)

It can be remotely configured for 20+ different modes depending on the needs of a particular usage, enabling tens of possible business cases. The basic ones (also in the SP 2.0) include:

1. Press me - ordering, notifying or alerting worldwide (order/panic/remote control button)
2. Track - location tracking of any movement or impact (luggage, pallet, asset)
3. Trace - real-time journey tracing of a package and any impact
4. Guard - notification of any movement or bangs, etc.
5. Put me back - monitor overturning, tilting or displacement of any object
6. Monitor me - monitor run times and level of vibration of any engine and much more
7. Don't drop me - in case of a major impact during transportation of goods

The additional Wi-Fi sniffing allows for more precise localization of the device, which is very helpful in warehouses and in every situation that requires knowing the exact position.50+ business use case scenarios are identified and described in detail in this datasheet. Among the use cases, you can find:

• Logistics, including but not limited to the parcel or Euro-pallet tracking and tracing, possible with WiFi sniffing for exact locations of the tracked goods
• Window, door, staircase or post box monitoring
• Office chair monitoring 
• House or facility fire detection
• Elderly care - either as an emergency panic button or to monitor the movement and the position
• Locating stolen bikes, cars, scooters or even pets
• Monitoring temperature changes with an accuracy of +/-0.5°C
• Rotation count using the reed switch

Despite being the bigger and the better, the SimplePack Plus is still very simple.

*the number of messages and battery longevity in years was taken from some testing we've done with the SimplePack (both versions) - the devices were in the Guard me mode and were not sending more 140 messages/day (Sigfox daily limit). For more info read here.
